    Porosity-

Porosity refers to how many pores, or holes, a soil has. The porosity of a soil is expressed as a percentage of the total volume of the soil material.

In short we can say that the Porosity is the amount of pore space that is between particles in soil or rocks. Permeability takes this pore space and connects the voids together so that water can pass through.

    Ans.(c) 350kg/cm2 M35 is minimum required concrete for prestressed concrete.   Here 35 is in N/mm2. So convert it into kg/cm2.   N/mm2 = 10 kg/cm2.   So 35 N/mm2 = 350 Kg/cm2

The steep hill is surveyed at three levels – the base of the hill, the mid-level of the hill and the top level of the hill. With the help of a tacheometer it is possible to determine the horizontal distance of the point from the telescope as well its vertical level.
